Being abundant starts with feeling abundant. A lot of our negative feelings regarding money comes past down from our parents and grandparents. There are generational curses to be broken with money just as other areas of our lives. The world also plays it’s own role when it comes to negative feelings regarding money.
I know you’ve heard the saying, “thoughts shape our reality.” They absolutely do but it’s much deeper than that, money is energy and energy is currency! In order to use our energy to earn more money and have financial freedom, we have to clean up our thoughts and beliefs regarding money. The first step to clearing these blocks is to become conscious of them.
There are three main blockages when it comes to being able to attract abundance. The first blockage is “a lack mentality.’ You may feel as if you’ll never have enough money or that there is not enough money in the world. People who have this blockage feel they will never achieve abundance. The second blockage is the belief that having money makes you better or less than others. You may believe that you are smarter or work harder than others if you have more money than them. People who place an importance on money are faced with fear when they don’t have as much money as they think they need. Those who don’t have a lot of money can’t enjoy it because they fear loosing it. The third and final blockage is the believe that there is not enough money to go around. The belief that our earning capacity has a ceiling is completely based in fear. If you believe there is not enough money to go around, you will literally block abundance from coming your way.
In order to clear these blockages, you have to shift your focus onto abundance. Start altering your money blocking thoughts in a way that produces the exact thing you fear. For example- if a friend asks you to go to the mall, you might immediately think I don’t have any money to go shopping. This thought and frame of mind is exactly the reason you don’t have money to go shopping. Your thoughts are blocking abundance from reaching you. You can change your thoughts through the use of affirmations by saying, “I am grateful for what I do have and choose not to focus on the lack.” Maybe you don’t need to go on an all out shopping spree but you can definitely afford to do some window shopping (manifesting) and grab a bite to eat with your close friend.
These simple changes will redirect your energy replacing those negative thoughts and feelings with gratitude and positivity. When you start to look for abundance instead of lack, abundance becomes what you see!
